Position Summary The Assistant Manager of Technical Training will be responsible to accomplish tasks in the maintenance of employee Training Records as well as the development / implementation of stand-up presentations and on-line presentations in Amerijet's Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (M.O.O.D.L.E.) learning management system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Coordinate training schedules and requirements for company and vendor employees.

  • Calculate training hours expended on the "Presentation" portion of the computer-based training.
  • Maintain and update the authorization status for employees, outsource maintenance providers and service vendors.
  • File training documents.
  • Copy and bind presentation hand-outs.
  • Query the system, print and file M.O.O.D.L.E. documents and reports.
  • Retrieve and distribute M.O.O.D.L.E. documents and reports as required.
  • Ensure the validity of certificates / licenses provided by the employee by checking with the issuing authority (FAA, FCC, etc.) and recording the verification.
  • Prepare reports and meet monthly reporting schedules.
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Education And Experience

  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Computer literacy and numerical aptitude. Skilled in utilizing office equipment (copier, fax, computer, etc.). Minimum two (2) years' experience using MS Office, with emphasis on Excel, Outlook, and Word. Basic knowledge of using Excel and working with spreadsheets is a must.
  • Excellent organizational skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Must have excellent English grammar. Able to correspond in writing and verbally in a professional manner.
  • Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Previous Training Records or Aviation Maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with preparing reports is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish desired, but not necessary.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities This position will not have direct reports but may require providing on-the-job training for new team members.

    Language Skills The employee must possess good interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and co-workers. Spanish is a plus.

    Physical Activities And Requirements Of The Position This job is performed in a professional office environment. The selected candidate will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office workers generally need to be able to sit for extended periods, use a computer and have good close-up vision. They may also need to lift light objects, walk short distances and perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
