Position : Director of Finance

Overview

A dynamic fast growing retailer is hiring a Finance Director to drive strategic financial leadership. The ideal candidate will deliver critical financial insights to the executive team (reports, forecasting, budgets, variance, trends, cash flow, sector etc), represent the company's financial interests to investors and banking partners and will have oversight and quality control with the external accounting vendor relationship and work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and reports to support the CEO and leadership team in decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Act as the primary financial liaison for investors and banking partners.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and performance updates to stakeholders.
  • Oversee relationship with the accounting vendor to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Finance Manager or Director).
  • Experience required within a multi-unit company (Retail, restaurant, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience interfacing with investors and financial institutions is highly desirable.
