Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital with Level I trauma center and magnet status Assignment is on the general ultrasound tech unit with adult and emergency room patient populations Night shifts are Monday through Thursday, 4x10s (20 : 30-07 : 00) No weekend or on-call requirements Wide range of exams required, including abdominal (aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen), OB / GYN (first trimester), renal / pelvis, small parts, transplant, and vascular Procedures include paracentesis and thoracentesis Cerner used for charting; experience preferred First-time travelers will be considered No floating required outside of primary unit for this position Candidates may request up to 5 days of non-holiday time off without facility approval; more requires approval Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment Locals are accepted with no radius restrictions Scrubs may be any solid color Parking permit is required but provided at no cost Must complete required modules virtually on first day and annually Applicants who have worked at this hospital as perm or PRN must have a 12 month break before applying as a traveler Requirements Minimum 2 years of general ultrasound experience required Current ARDMS and BLS certifications required Active IL license required at time of application (license required if applicable) Experience with isolation precautions and management / lead duties required Proficiency in a broad range of ultrasound exams and procedures as detailed in job description Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance deadline for fingerprinting Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618890.
