Virtual School Psychologist
Location : Ohio (Hybrid) - Work From Home
Pay : $46 / Hour
Job Type : Fulltime, Spring Contract Opportunity
Must come into the school 1 day / week
The Virtual School Psychologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to students enrolled in our virtual learning programs.
Working remotely, the Virtual School Psychologist will collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals to support the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students.
Key responsibilities include :
- Conducting virtual assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, challenges, and needs.
- Providing individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and support strategies.
- Collaborating with educators and parents to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention strategies.
- Providing crisis intervention and support services as needed.
- Consulting with teachers and staff to promote a positive and inclusive school climate.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and communications.
- Staying current with best practices, research, and regulations related to school psychology and virtual education.
Qualifications :
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Ohio license or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working as a school psychologist in a K-12 educational setting.
- Proficiency in conducting virtual assessments and providing teletherapy services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology tools.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with disabilities and English language learners.
- Training or certification in trauma-informed practices or crisis intervention.
- Knowledge of Ohio's educational policies, regulations, and special education law.
