Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager, Facilities Projects will be responsible for hands-on project management to support the Real Estate and Site Services team.

This role will support projects which focus on operational improvements, integrations of new solutions or processes, or operationally onboarding new sites, locations or processes improvements for Security, Facilities, Facilities Engineering and Real Estate functions.

The role has the responsibility to manage a wide range of operational projects, to facilitate and enable teams to meet business goals more effectively and efficiently for improvement, organizational growth, and ongoing operational improvements.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Be accountable for all project phases from initiation and planning through project delivery and closeout. Will lead development major project stage gates and milestones including charter, user requirements, project planning, procurement, implementation, and closeout.
  • Directly or indirectly lead cross-functional teams to execute on project tasks to include effective creation and management of timelines, budgets, resources, risks and project objectives.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned concurrent projects which vary in size and complexity. Independently manage level of effort and detail required to effectively manage projects from simple projects, with short timelines to large and complex projects to deliver results across all projects.
  • Serve as a liaison & business partner for Real Estate and Site Services leaders, subject matter experts (SME) and cross functional stakeholders where project management support is requested to expedite and support the delivery of business solutions.
  • Build relationships and operational understanding across Line-of-Business (LoB) to effectively coordinate and deliver projects.
  • Assist in evaluating, prioritizing, and managing projects to determine impact to business goals.
  • Employ project management best practices, terminologies, and standard guidelines, as well as has familiarity with a combination of project management methodologies.
  • Translate project objectives and goals into project requirements and coordinates with stakeholders to develop a detailed project plan to meet the project requirements and business goals.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates on schedule, cost, and quality aspects of the project including the identification of risks with associated mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

  • Ability to travel 15% of working time away from work location, may include overnight / weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technical field; or high school degree / general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 15+ years of experience in facilities, facilities engineering, security, facilities design & construction, or real estate.
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading facilities, engineering, security, construction, or real estate projects with full responsibility for coordinating both small & large complex projects.
  • 5+ years delivering projects within a Quality management System including GEP, commissioning, Qualification and validation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in preparation of user requirements, bids, quotes, contract administration and project closeout.
  • Experience providing technical leadership in design evaluations of Process design, Workflows, MEP designs, Automation and Integration designs including MES and BAS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in a regulated laboratory, drug or medical device industry which follows GMP, GLP, GDP or GEP guidelines for quality systems.
  • 2+ years of experience technical writing following GDP in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in developing project documents supporting validated processes including URS documents, Commissioning documents that support validation documents
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred. Candidates for the position must have strong interest and demonstrated experience in formal project management frameworks and large-scale implementations.

Salary Range :

$109,000.00 - $174,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.

In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
