Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Patient Care Technician for the 3 West - Ortho Department at Chilton Medical Center to work 7AM-7 : 30PM, including 2 weekend shifts per month.Â
Essential Functions / Responsibilities :
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living; obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights; assisting patients with mobility : ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities;
- performing post-mortem care; measuring and recording I & O; performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring; observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN;
maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned. Ensure patient needs and expectations are met in a timely manner.
Minimum Education :
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum Experience :
- 6 months prior health-care experience with patient care experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Licenses / Certifications :
Current HCP BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire
