Software Associate Engineer (Remote)

PURPOSE :

Assists with the design, developing / coding, testing, and documentation of application programs for computer systems. Works with appropriate stakeholders to define system scope and objectives.

Performs analysis and debugging of computer software and / or equipment. Performs in accordance with established project standards and processes.

Breaks down software requirements and assists with the integration of software systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Performs software analysis, including requirements and uses case development and design. Writes source code to design specifications, perform software testing including developing and running automated unit tests, drafting, and executing structured automated test cases, and provides software documentation.

Analyzes, debugs, and corrects reported software bugs and implements enhancements. Updates user and software documentation.

Develop and / or analyze interface design documentation, and help the team estimate features. Compile, assess, and report data results from software testing and analysis.

Comply with hardware and software systems standards and procedures. Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet the needs of the team

Performs operations & maintenance (O&M) of existing systems. Identifies areas for improvement and streamlining. Writes system design and application code documentation.

Interprets results, gathers and documents technical and functional user requirements and specifications

Participates in regular meetings, providing status on current tasks. Participates in peer reviews of software development artifacts.

SCOPE DATA : Position provides day to day support for the operational PSA System. Provides 7 X 24 coverage, holidays, evening hours, weekend work required and participates in the on-call rotation.

Perform other duties specified by the Customer Support Center Manager.

PSA Roles and Responsibilities :

PSAs are responsible for creating, updating, reactivating, and deactivating Direct User IDs in Production (O2), Plantest (C2), and Pilot / usability (P2) environments via the Direct User Management application.

PSAs are responsible for the oversight of user access reviews, comparing active Direct accounts against the LDAP to ensure no terminations are missed, and support Direct user account audits.

Finally PSA’s support Open season and are responsible for adding and maintaining the EIAM roles and permissions with the EIAM administrator from the Information Security team that applies to each business user group of Direct (UM and PSA form).

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education Level : Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
