Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a Program Manager. This is a 2 month + contract hybrid remote position located in Mountain View, CA.

Summary :

The personalization, trust, identity, and content team in Search UX researches, designs, builds, and improves user experiences across Search to earn user trust and improve user satisfaction.

We lead high priority cross functional, cross Search team engagements from concept to launch and post-launch optimization in the spaces of identity management, user journey exploration and recall, information literacy, and content safety.

Responsibilities :

  • Project Management : Gathering updates from team members, maintaining project timelines, roadmaps, and other documentation to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Identify dependencies between programs managed. Identify where our prioritization could be better with clear rationale.
  • Communication Hub : Support UX Lead to deliver organized and clear documentation of scope, project plans, and reviews / feedback for multiple stakeholders at varying stages and altitudes.
  • Manage communications within the core and extended project teams, as well as functional and regional leaders where required.
  • This includes requesting assets, acquiring feedback, organizing action items and securing approvals.
  • Process Optimization : Identify and implement process improvements for the Identity, Personalization, and Trust teams.
  • Reporting : Provide regular updates to the UX PgM Lead, highlighting progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
  • This role involves context-switching so reporting updates is vital for success and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Adjust expectations and communicate schedule updates as necessary to maintain reviews and deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate optionality to clearly articulate benefits and risk management.
  • Independent Execution : Take ownership of action items and proactively engage with stakeholders across the organization to drive results.
  • Review all project deliverables to ensure they are free of errors and meet internal and external requirements, including specifications, file formats, naming conventions, and Legal guidelines.
  • Successful Delivery of High-Priority Programs : Ensure the timely launch of P13n programs with exceptional user experience.
  • Stronger Cross-Functional Collaboration : Foster a culture of collaboration and shared ownership across teams.
  • Improved UX Operations : Streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and achieve measurable progress towards OKRs.
  • Risk Mitigation : Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success and minimize disruptions.
  • Project management : Lead Day to day operations across a high performing UX and cross-functional team including project management (task tracking, milestone tracking, resourcing, prioritization, managing escalations) to maintain velocity and deliver on roadmaps.
  • Process improvement : Partner with UX leads and PgM leads to identify project and program level obstacles, design and implement solutions, and support process improvements that increase velocity, cohesion, and team performance.
  • Cross-team cohesion : Clearly and consistently coordinate and communicate across teams working toward shared goals to ensure shared knowledge, alignment, and cohesion that improves team effectiveness and product quality.

Requirements :

  • 8+ years of Program Management experience in UX Design / Product Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and creates order out of it, solution oriented.
  • Proactive; Self-starter and can drive work independently.
  • Experience navigating competing and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
