Lead, AI/ML Architect

JM Family is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI / ML Architect to join our Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI COE).

The AI / ML Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) systems to solve complex problems and drive innovation within the company.

This role involves working closely with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to develop scalable, efficient AI / ML solutions and define robust solution architectures for diverse use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end AI / ML solutions, from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and operations.
• Define and architect high-level solution frameworks for AI / ML use cases, ensuring alignment with business goals and integration with existing systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, identify opportunities for AI / ML applications, and translate business needs into technical strategies.
• Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of machine learning models and algorithms.
• Optimize existing machine learning systems for better performance and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI / ML technologies and methodologies.
• Mentor junior team members and lead technical discussions and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection guidelines as well as responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with AI COE Research Scientists to learn and apply the latest AI / ML capabilities
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure AI / ML solution adhere to overall enterprise architecture principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI / ML Architect, Data Scientist, or similar role, with a strong track record of designing scalable AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience with cloud services (Azure experience strongly preferred) and understanding of their AI / ML capabilities.
• Experience with AI / ML Ops tooling and practices (Azure experience strongly preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
