What you will do?
Drive in-depth analysis for regional inventories / improvement projects in supply
chain, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and transportation and formulate business
cases, cost scenarios; working with local and regional management, provide
analyses, guidance and recommendations.
Drive in-depth analysis for projects. Responsible for data analysis, forecasting
extrapolation, predictive modelling and optimization. Connecting analytical insights to
decisions and actions (utilizing data analytics to provide guidance in improving
operating processes, systems, and resource)
Creates and proposes for approval new Logistics flows, on new / transferred / changes
in current projects, with focus on optimization or other KPI’s received from
management.
Acts as a thought leader and subject matter expert in supply chain planning to assist
in developing a vision for improvement efforts to provide a distinct competitive
advantage in the market for the organization
Enforces optimization and simplification of reverse logistics for remanufacturing,
warranties, and other customer returns categories
Measure and evaluate cost comparisons on all logistics related services to create
innovative strategies
Optimize and consolidate transportation network / routing; conduct feasibility studies
and analysis on transportation opportunities to grow business; lead annual review of
regional freight forwarding cost structures
Plan, manage and oversee the implementation of regional supply chain logistics
projects
Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure project completion is on time, on
budget and within scope.
Conduct post-project reviews to certify project success criteria have been met.
Identify and assess risks, severity and impacts. Determine and implement risk
strategies.
Closely monitor project financials, follow-up on issues and provide regular status
updates to management and stakeholders.
Monitor implementation efforts and transition issues to ensure that business risks are
identified, and solutions are recommended.
What you will bring?
Minimum of 5 years of logistics experience working in the automotive industry
Progressive experience in logistics with regional exposure Experience with preparing business proposals and cost justifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain management
In-depth knowledge in Distribution Center operations
In depth knowledge of transportation modes and distribution network
In-depth knowledge and competence of business management principles (budgeting,
strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources)
In depth knowledge of supply chain network design
Solid understanding of transportation, planning, network design, warehouse
operations and optimization, and experience with various modes of transport
Knowledge of import / export compliance
Time management skills are crucial as the incumbent will be working on multiple
projects wide-ranging in scope at any given time
Have a keen sense of initiative and will take ownership of projects
Ability to implement programs into practice, strong analytical and problem-solving
skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with personnel from all
levels of the organization
High level of proficiency in related computer software including Microsoft Office and
Innovative approach to identifying and solving business issues
Requirement to maintain confidentiality is critical to this role
Flexibility and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks
Demonstrated team player; optimism towards achieving positive outcome and the
competitiveness to translate a plan into action
Excellent business communications in English
Available to travel
Proven track record in delivering logistics and supply chain optimization projects
Project management experience working with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment with pressing deadlines and
constantly changing needs and conditions
