In this role the Project Manager will manage the processesstandards and technologies the Clients PMO uses to maintain the ITproject portfolio schedules and backlog
This role will lead the evolution of ahighlyvisible complex and critical program and associated ITprojects from scoping through development delivery and operationalactivities
This role willbe responsible for the management of the complete softwaredevelopment life cycle and postrelease operational maintenance forthe assigned programs
Theselected candidate will work closely with leads as well as ITmanagers application development infrastructure and telecom / networkteams to drive program planning and execution of complex enterprisesoftware development projects and postrelease operationalactivities throughout the software life cycle
Responsible for management of technicalprojects in whole or in part for the Executive Office of Energy andEnvironmental Affairs IT
Can direct technical staff and manage the activities ofall aspects of the project life cycle. Understands complextechnical scenarios and requirements and can ferret out obstaclesto progress and suggest alternative strategies anddirections

Project ManagerResponsibilities :
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring designatedprogram(s) and projects are wellplanned executed efficiently anddelivered with high quality
The program manager will work across multiple projects andfacilitate activities of crossfunctional teams to ensure thatpredetermined specifications timelines and objectives aremet
This role will workclosely with the technical team(s) to plan out a program roadmap toplan and accomplish timebound milestones and to ensure theoperational readiness and viability of release products
The program manager is responsiblefor reporting project status to the Director PMO and Director ofApplication Development project leads senior IT and leads includingthe articulation of impediments risk analysis risk mitigationstimeline and budget impacts
This role will collaborate in the application andcontinuous improvement of project management for all projects andwill employ appropriate and consistent project management processesmethods and tools according to the projects requirements
This includes maturing the programsvendor management strategy and facilitating teamwork withindevelopment teams
Coordinating and supporting the efforts of the resourcesrequired to successfully implement project goals and objectiveswithin the prescribed timeframe and budget escalating when timelineand / or budget deviations are identified
Working with the program team to develop thedetailed project workplan including review of current processimprovement opportunities work breakdown structure weeklydevelopment schedule and key metrics and deliverables
Proactively resolving routine andmoderate scope issues exercising judgement within definedprocedures and practices to determine appropriate action andcollaborating with the project team and other departments toresolve issues which affect the project execution
Facilitating regular projectreviews (including scrum sessions); participating in individualscrum planning meetings as needed.
Leading regular / weekly meetingswith the project team as necessary including developmentsprints
Managingcrossteam dependencies coordinating crossteam initiatives andidentify blocking issues
Managing release planning and scheduling
Managing and developing the projecttracking and the development workflow including management ofbacklog / pending tickets and delivery of regular status reports andmetrics
Drivinginformation capturing and sharing and disseminating best practicesacross IT; providing clear project communication to stakeholdersacross all levels departments and skillsets
Developing managing and maintaining accurateand thorough project documentation and reports. This includes butis not limited to feature definition and scope an executablecommunication plan throughout the product life cycle as well as theproject plan risk register and highlevel executivesummaries
Facilitatingparticipation from the program team developers and other projectreviewers as required during the engagement and facilitatingscheduling
Coordinatingreview of the deliverables and sign off of an acceptance form tosignify acceptance for each deliverable
Supporting and contributing to the developmentof the IT PMO including providing input and feedback related to ITstaffing allocation and tracking and leveraging previous experienceto understand the current environment and to challenge / expose areasof opportunity
Assist inany necessary transition of project management duties
