Join our client, a dynamic and growing company specializing in the renewable energy sector, as they expand their capabilities in providing engineering services for solar energy and energy storage projects.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives that support their mission.
Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to) :
- Leading proposals for renewable energy projects.
- Creating project scope, schedule, and budget; negotiating changes with clients.
- Coordinating with authorities and teams to develop effective solutions.
- Managing a diverse engineering team to meet project tasks.
- Setting and maintaining project schedules and deadlines.
- Overseeing project budgets and handling change orders.
- Acting as the main contact between clients and technical teams.
- Balancing multiple projects at once.
- Collaborating on site plans and engineering documents.
- Managing bidder lists and proposal requests.
- Streamlining project information for estimating purposes.
- Keeping up with new solar technologies and industry trends.
- Attending industry events and contributing to publications.
- Conducting client project meetings as needed.
- Traveling to project sites when required.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.
Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, chemical, or mechanical preferred) or related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, with 3+ years in project management.
- Previous consulting engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience in project development or renewable energy is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
- Proficient in using IT tools to improve work processes.
- Experience with electrical system design or estimation is preferred.
- Familiarity with photovoltaic systems and construction practices is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively under pressure.Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting / presentations via teams or in person.
