Unit Staffing Environment : The nurse to patient ratio is a 2 : 1 for ICU levels of care. However, for bed management purposes they could have MNS level patients and a higher ratio by themselves with someone on call.

There is a supervisor in-house that could assist them until the on-call nurse arrives. There are generally 2 nurses on unless the unit low volume census a nurse but would have back up available until that nurse comes in.

• Must assess and identify patient problems / needs, establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress.
• Supports organizational efforts to continuously improve patient satisfaction scores.
• Performs and documents physical and psychosocial assessment of patients.
• Treats co-workers with courtesy and respect. Actively works to strengthen interdepartmental relationships.
• Provides comfort the patients and families, including prompt and effective nursing management. Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.

Patient population : High acuity MSN / Tele, could get a vent or critical patient and then transfer out

EMR : Cerner

Dress code : Scrubs of any color

OT and Holidays Multipliers : x1.25

On Call and Call Back l : N / A for this need

Nonbillable Orientation : 8 hrs

Requirement description :

• 2+ years of CURRENT ICU experience - Required
• Recent experience with high acuity MS / Tele patient - Required
• Prior travel experience - Preferred
• BSN - Preferred

Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend / Holiday Rotation as needed
