Software Engineer-Optical Test

Your Job Molex is looking for a Software Engineer in our Optical Test group.

Molex is a global leader in electronic and optical solutions, providing innovative connectivity solutions for various industries and data center interconnections.

As a Test Engineer in our Optical Solutions division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our cutting-edge high-speed optical transceivers. What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain software for optical test systems using LabVIEW and / or Python
• Design and implement optical transceiver test procedures in connection with production tests
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop optical test strategies and optimize yields / throughput
• Analyze test date and provide detailed reports to stakeholders for production test enhancements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with excellent code and system debugging skills
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in fiber optics, manufacturing, and automation Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
• Proven experience with LabVIEW and Python programming.
• Deep understanding of fiber optics and optical transceivers with hands on testing experiences
• Experience with optical test equipment such as OSA, BERT, and Optical Power Measurements
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for close collaboration with team What Will Put You Ahead
• Advanced degree- Master's or PhD
• Certification for CLAD / CLD For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $180,000 per year.
