General Overview

The Director of Marketing is responsible for the management of all marketing operations for the enterprise of companies / brands including Fargo Jet Center, Weather Modification International, Premier Jet Center, Exclusive Aircraft Sales, Ice Crystal Engineering and SPEC Incorporated. Responsibilities include the development, planning, and execution of various marketing programs and advertising initiatives in support of the enterprise strategic goals and reputation. The Marketing Manager interprets business objectives and develops successful marketing campaigns from idea to execution and ensures that the organization's message is clearly defined and distributed across all channels and targeted audiences.

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Marketing include, but are not limited to the following :

Lead the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide marketing strategy

Facilitate regular sales / marketing planning sessions to identify and implement new marketing tactics to align marketing initiatives with company goals

Develop creative briefs, to guide the development of effective marketing campaigns with goals and objectives

Lead project meetings with internal teams and business partners

Manages all corporate collateral including the creation of proposals, brochures, and event materials

Manages all company websites and assists in maintaining website content, contact management data, and marketing cost tracking

Oversees Marketing and Communications Specialist position and all company social media accounts

Oversee management of event planning and logistics for conferences, forums, and sponsorships to maximize exposure and communicate the value propositions of the organization

Coordinate the production of visual collateral including stock photography and video assets

Develop and manage the budget for all marketing activities as well as provide quarterly reports to management.

Manage and lead a team of 3 or more direct reports

Perform other duties as assigned

Other Functions

Collaborate with marketing team and vendors to deliver creative and high-impact collateral, online content, press releases, marketing memos, and product launches

Participate in trade shows and regional events to demonstrate products and services and articulate competitive benefits of the Enterprise

Identify opportunities for expanding our products and services to serve aviation market needs

Job Requirements

Education :

Bachelor's Degree in the areas of marketing, communications, graphic arts, business, or journalism preferred, or applicable years of experience in marketing.

Experience and Preferred Skills :

7+ years of marketing experience required, aviation industry experience plus

Self-starter who has the ability to think outside the box, bringing new concepts and ideas to the organization

Adept at conveying ideas effectively : through verbal and written means

A good understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels

Experience managing projects in a design environment and coordinating budgets with both vendors and employees

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and discretion in the workplace

Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends, challenges, and opportunities

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

Possess the ability to creatively represent company services to clients and vendors

Display the ability to productively manage time and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision

Comfortable with a non-standard work schedule, including on-call status for minimal-notice projects requiring immediate attention

Equipment and Software to be Used

Company-provided computer; demonstrate an intermediate to advanced knowledge of the software required for the creation of visually effective materials. Ex : MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva

Video conferencing, mobile phones, office equipment, cameras, and computer equipment in the performance of duties

Typical Physical Requirements

Requires manual dexterity, sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers and other office equipment

Physically capable of sitting for extended periods

Daily dress is business professional

Must be physically capable of lifting items not to exceed 50 pounds

Working Conditions

Willing to work a flexible schedule

Willing to travel as required by the position and work weekends and / or nights when required in the production of marketing materials or when necessary to represent the company

Willing and able to work in an environment with possible exposure to aircraft noise and other hazards associate within the proximity of aircraft, hangars, and facilities
