Shifts :
PLEASE NOTE - hours have varying start and end times
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly, may work up to 40 hours
- 5 shifts a week (4 weekdays and 1 Sat / Sun shift)
- Weekdays scheduled 1500 - close (varying approximately 7-9 hours)
- Weekends scheduled 1230- close (varying approximately 9-11 hours)
Description :
Traveler's home site will be South Bay but they could work at any of the 6 Urgent Care sites, La Mesa, Mid City, Chula Vista, Escondido, Oceanside and Murrieta.
All the sites are considered the department as a whole. You will not float to another department in the Rady organization.
- Unit Summary : 36 beds. 200 pts per day is avg / Ortho Clinic is a separate entity but shares space; there are 4 urgent care sites that may need a Traveler.
- Need to perform sedation's; MUST have computerized charting / they use EPIC 8 or 10 D / E rotation / weekends / holidays.
- NP Ratio 1 : 4 Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice.
- Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care.
- Selects and administers the appropriate care taking into consideration the age and developmental level and size of the patient.
- Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
- Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.
