The WHS Police Officer assists the professional staff in maintaining safety and security of Washington Health System premises by enforcing state criminal and traffic laws as appropriate.
This position responds promptly to emergencies and calls for service to include fires, alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, suspicious activity, trespassers, and other criminal acts that may require investigation.
The WHS Police Officer will respond to and resolve problems and disputes, remove unwanted, unauthorized, or disruptive individuals from any Washington Health System properties, and execute lawful arrests if necessary.
This position will work in conjunction with surrounding law enforcement agencies, control evidence, document and report lost and found property and other valuables and testify in court as required.
This position will provide excellent customer service to patients / family and visitors and provide escort services as needed.
The WHS Police Officer is responsible for meeting and maintaining established medical and policing protocols.

- Part Time and Per Diem Opportunities Available
Requirements
- PA ACT 120 Required
- Able to work 06 : 00-1400, 14 : 00-22 : 00, 22 : 00-06 : 00, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed. Shift and Weekend Differential Pay is Included.
Attend Court Hearings as Required.
Act 31 (Mandated Reporter) , Act 33 (PA Child Abuse) , Act 34 (PA State Background) , Act 73 (FBI Criminal Background).
BLS / CPR Training Will Be Provided.
