Shop Equipment Manager
Employment Type : Full-Time
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The primary function of the Shop Equipment Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the shop to include direct, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in a field / shop environment.
Manage the workflow, and delegate tasks and responsibilities. May work mandatory overtime as needed.

- Truck Maintenance
Yard Maintenance
Mow, weed, cut yard as needed (RGL has a contractor service setup, this will apply only as needed)
Pick up trash daily
Replace any dead plants / trees (service established, monitor as needed)
Adjust sprinklers summer / winter (run timers)
Plant summer / fall flowers (service established, monitor / self-perform as needed)
Trim trees / shrubs (service established, monitor / self-perform as needed)
Replace light bulbs as needed
Adjust light timers summer / fall (as time changes)
Seal / strip parking (annually)
Building
Maintain all inspections (Fire, Elevator, Backflow, AED machine)
Change A / C filters monthly
Window washing as needed
Vent airflow (winter bottom vent open / summer top vent open)
Concrete / sidewalk power wash / sealing annually
Sanitary sewer cleaning (as needed)
Water / bleach in drains for odor control
Check bathrooms for supplies / cleanliness
Check perimeter / building for leaks, damage after storms
Assist in any other general / miscellaneous maintenance
Track / maintain trash, scrap metal dumpsters (pick-up & payment)
Monitoring maintenance of backup generator
Equipment
Maintain & track maintenance schedule, fuel, lube, servicing
Order parts / supplies as needed
Supervise Mechanics, CDL drivers, and Shop personnel
Enter all data in Computer Ease (pictures, create new equipment numbers when purchasing new equipment) Coordinate with Company Controller
Install / replace decals & equipment numbers as needed
Dispatch, load, haul equipment to job sites
Obtain quotes on new / rental equipment for job.
Coordinate with controller and superintendent
Obtain permits for equipment hauling
Trucks
Dispatch trucks daily
Maintain / track maintenance (oil / lube) inspections, registrations, overweight permits, tires, DOT inspections
Order parts as needed
Track & Enter drivers' time in Heavy Job
Requirements :
- Strong time management and multitasking skills and capable of determining priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated maintenance experience
- Minimum of 3 years progressively responsible supervisory experience in heavy equipment maintenance shop
- Strong time management and multitasking skills and capable of determining priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organizational and administration skills with detail orientation to ensure day-to-day smooth operations and keep detailed accurate records
- Intermediate computer skills
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record
- Other certifications as may be necessary for accomplishment of assigned responsibilities
