As a Speech-Language Pathologist in this school-based setting, you will play a crucial role in helping young children, from birth to 3 years of age, develop their communication skills and overcome speech and language challenges.

You will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

$300 yearly stipend to spend on materials.Responsibilities : Evaluate student’s speech-language abilities to prepare and conduct treatment plansProvide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to studentsConduct assessments, translate, and analyze assessment results, and develop reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skillsUse professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education to make practice decisionsCreate a learning environment characterized by effective and efficient process management strategies (procedures, instructional groups, transition materials)Participate in team conferences and meetingsDevelop treatment plans, in conjunction with instructional staff, that are strength-based, as well as child and family-centered for overall educational improvementEnsure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelinesProactively implement instructional coaching practices when working with families, to ensure they are equipped to carry over skills demonstrated during your sessionAssist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays / disordersOther duties as assignedQualifications : School-based and / or pediatric experience working with children.

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.Valid MD SLP license from the Maryland Board of Speech-Language Pathologists.
