CDL A - LARGER WRECKER OPERATOR / LANDOLL / LOWBOY
Reports to : Operations Manager. Chesapeake, VA.
Job Description : Under the supervision of the wrecker division Operations Manager, this full-time position will be responsible for handling daily dispatched wrecker calls.
This highly motivated, self-sufficient operator is expected to be a walking example of the organized professional operation that TEI strives to be.
The ideal candidate will be highly adaptive to changing environments, schedules, and applicable regulations.
Requirements :
- Class A CDL license endorsement
- Must have or be able to obtain DAD / Towing license
- No automatic restrictions
- Must have or be able to obtain TWIC and military base access
- Lowboy / Landoll Ops must have equipment moving and flatbed experience
- Have medical examiners certification
- Clean MVR
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a wrecker operator of heavy duty rollback trucks
- Must be fluent in the English language
- Must have and keep current a USA issued driver's license
- Must have excellent customer etiquette and communication skills
- Have the ability and desire to form close working relationships with other team members
- Clean, manage, and maintain tools and vehicles which are assigned
- Perform duties during regular working hours and when circumstances arise, additional duty time required to complete a dispatched call or task required by manager
- Have a willingness to travel out of the area, and sometimes out of town, at any time of the day or day of the week as necessary
- Be receptive to on and off-site training with exceptional results
- Must be willing to learn and perform a diverse array of other assigned duties
- Must pass a criminal history check
- Must pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug / alcohol screenings
