With headquarters in Springfield, Vermont, PVC also has office locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, and New York.

We are seeking an MDU Construction Manager with knowledge of FTTP standards and practices for MDU / MTU Pathway Construction for the state of Connecticut.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Oversee operational activities of subcontractor construction crews.
  • Perform Quality Control checks for all post-construction activities as well as any construction in progress.
  • Attend site surveys with path design engineers to determine best and most effective ways to install fiber optic networks into MDU / MTUs.
  • Review proposed path designs from in-house engineers to ensure the design meets compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
  • If necessary attend meetings with developers, associations, and home and business owners to discuss the pathway proposal and address any pre-construction concerns.
  • Work as part of a multi-faceted team consisting of engineering, construction, project management, and scheduling personnel, all with a common interest of delivering results to the customer.
  • Daily engagement with customers engineering team and project management staff via emails / phone as well as occasional in-person meetings
  • Report and have accountability to the Project Manager with frequent updates on project progress and risks
  • Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to regulations and policies.

Qualifications :

  • 4+ years experience in MDU Pathway Construction (Underground and Aerial).
  • Previous working knowledge of FTTP standards, practices and regulations pertaining to the construction of fiber optic facilities into a MDU / MTU.
  • Experience with Cleartrack, Invisalight, and Microduct pathway construction materials and installation methods.
  • Fiber splicing experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Valid Drivers License and a clean driving record
