- A hospital near Sacramento is looking for an experienced Telemetry RN for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and a CA License.

Schedule Information
- 12hr Nights
- Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- First to Float
- Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years)
- Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling
Unit Specific Information
Unit : Medical Telemetry
of beds : 44
- Ratios : 4 : 1 telemetry, 5 : 1 med / surg
- EMR : Cerner
- Charge Nurse does not take patients
- Nurse Aides availability : 3 on day shift when full, 2 on night shift when full
- Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
- Holidays : Required, but negotiable
- Scrub Color : Navy
- Tele : Yes
- Nurse's Read Strips? Yes
- Common medications : Cardizem, Heparin, Amiodarone
- Vents : No
- Floating is required, to like units and per the sac float policy (to other facilities)
- Floor specific orientation : 1-2 shifts depending on skill level
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Stroke, CHF, Pneumonia, COPD, A fib, Alcohol withdrawal
- There is a small COVID-19 unit that traveler may need to float to (med / surg / tele level)
Additional Details
- Need 2 supervisor references at submittal, 1 within 12 months & 1 within 3 years worked
- Modules are required to be done before start of assignment, taking on average 3-4 hours
- Med Sol prescreens, auto offer and manager has 24 hours to review and rescind if necessary
- Prior to acceptance, the Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through Relias is required to be sent along with acceptance
- This must be completed within 24-48 hrs with a maximum of two attempts
