We are seeking an experienced Sr. Marketing Automation Specialist to manage technical aspects of our CRM system (Braze) and establish scalable processes to enable the marketing team to execute data-driven initiatives with maximum efficacy.
You will be responsible for building marketing campaign flows, email creation, and developing dynamic content and complex nurture streams.
You will have a vast knowledge of marketing operations tactics and the ability to flexibly apply them to our specific customer funnels and lifecycle stages.
You will collaborate across functions to structure problems, conduct analysis, and drive to solutions to ensure flawless campaign execution.
This role has the option to be remote or based in our Irvine, CA or New York, NY offices.

Within 1 month, you will :
- Get a warm welcome and get situated in your new role
- Meet with members of the marketing team in addition to all of your key stakeholders and partners (product, analytics, data science, legal, compliance, brand, customer insights, etc.)
- Gain an understanding of the Acorns financial wellness system and the products we offer
- Familiarize yourself with our current Martech stack and how to use it to build customer campaigns and journeys and conduct A / B and multivariate testing
- Get up to speed with marketing processes and workflows for campaign execution
- Assist the team in building and executing email, push, and in-app campaigns in Braze
Within 3 months, you will :
- Create and manage campaign project plans, track and communicate progress, and identify obstacles and ensure they are addressed.
- Build audience target lists in Braze to aid in demographic and behavioral marketing segmentation
- Monitor campaigns to optimize performance based on industry best practices
- Provide recommendations that enhance future campaign performance and measurements
- Audit use of marketing software tools with an eye towards continually improving how they are configured
- Investigate data quality and continuously improve on data quality
Within 6 months, you will :
- Perform regular audits of all operations and processes with recommendations of improvements
- Maintain data cleanliness and process flows across the various systems and researching causes of discrepancies / bugs in order to correct processes
- Proactively explore data to find trends, discover KPIs, and apply proper hypothesis testing
- Maintain regular reporting on marketing campaigns, effectiveness, and business impact
- Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance
- Create training and system documentation for teams
What you will bring to Acorns :
- 2-3 years of experience executing campaigns in the Braze marketing automation platform, preferably in a startup or financial services company
- Understanding of email, push and in app channels
- Analytical skills with ability to make insight-driven recommendations
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects / priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail to ensure seamless campaign execution
- Ability to collaborate closely with multiple partners across Acorns
- Ability to work successfully with little guidance
