Job Details
- The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience).
- Travelers could also float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.
- There is also a pass / fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
- Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
Schedule Information
- Floor specific orientation : 2 days on the floor.
- Shifts : 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
- Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend.

- Charge Nurse : Yes, no patient assignment. Also, have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
- Techs : PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients.
- Scrub Color : Navy
- Tele : Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
- Vents : No
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house : Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.
- IV Team : No
- RT 24 / 7 : Yes
- Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes
- Additional Notes : No ICP monitoring; first to float, could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
Additional Details

- There will be a Pass / Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, with an emphasis on sterile field. Study materials will be provided with first day instructions, so please make sure travelers are up to date on proper sterile techniques.
