Job Title : Travel RN Emergency Room

Facility : Lehigh Valley Hospital Network

Location : 1200 South Cedar Crest Blvd. Allentown, PA 18103

Pay range : $58 - $60 / hr

Shift time : 6 : 45 PM - 7 : 15AM

11 weeks assignment with high possibility of extension

Please note : LVHN requires a full Hep B series (3 doses) or positive Hep B antibody documentation

Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS and TNCC

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.

• The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department;
• maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available;

provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Certifications - Required :

HA BLS - Basic Life Support Certification

HA ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification

HA PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification

HA NIHSS Certificate

TNCC Certificate

Education - Required

Graduate of accredited Nursing program

Experience - Required

1-year Acute Care Experience and / or experience congruent with role in service line.

Licenses - Required

Registered Nurse State of Pennsylvania

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required

• Successful completion of Registered Nurse orientation.
• Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice.

• Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty.

Bachelor's Degree Nursing
