The University of Miami of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology.
Essential Job Functions :
- Provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases
- Conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services
- Provide outpatient and inpatient care to patients at University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital
- Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff
Desired Qualifications :
- MD / DO Degree required
- ACGME?US?Internal Medicine Residency
- Completed 3-year ACGME US Endocrinology Fellowship
- Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine? and ?Endocrinology (or board eligible)?
- Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)?
- Valid DEA licensure?
- Current ACLS and BLS certification required
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
- Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
- Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable)
- Valid DEA licensure
