As a Supply Chain Buyer, you'll be a critical pillar of the Firefly Purchasing Team. Step up, contribute meaningfully, and shape the future with us.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing duties for Spacecraft programs.
• Purchase and manage long-lead items including specialized instrumentation and raw material.
• Manage orders for components in various states of release in an R&D environment.
• Own the supplier selection process for new suppliers in R&D and production.
• Support (TCO) cost savings efforts for R&D and production.
• Help resolve risk issues from long lead, raw material, capacity, sole source, and other constraints that arise in the design, qualification, and production phases.
• Follow Corporate Procurement Practices and Procedures when making decisions concerning negotiating, sourcing, and contracting for all goods and services purchased.
• Compare quotes and align with departmental processes with the intent of achieving the best cost possible for Firefly.
• Review requisitions prior to PO to ensure that they are entered into the system correctly.
• Execute and manage supplier purchase orders to achieve the production build plans and service levels necessary to achieve program and departmental goals.
• Manage purchasing requirements for product changes and new product introductions.
• Analyze supplier quotes to determine the overall best offer for a product / service; factoring supplier past performance, capability, capacity, and financial stability.
• Ensure clear communication of expectations and priorities with suppliers.
• Maintain supplier and part attributes in the ERP system.
• Manage supplier returns and resolve inbound quality issues in a timely manner with internal stakeholders and the supplier.
• Resolve receiving and invoicing discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure inventory accuracy and supplier payment within agreed terms.
• Manage purchased parts inventory, including disposition of slow moving, rev control / compliance, or obsolescence.
• Resolve supplier non-conforming issues.
• Review business aspects of requisition and provide advice as subject matter expert.
• Support the creation and release of new parts in the system.
• Assist requisitioners in selecting suppliers that align and comply with Firefly ASL / AVL. (Approved Supplier / Vendor list)
• Negotiate favorable supplier contracts and agreements as needed for Spacecraft programs.
