Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys’ business.

As a DME Engineering Intern, you will be trained in the use of Digital Mission Engineering products (Ansys STK, TETK and ODTK) and support our staff and customers in addressing some of the most challenging aerospace and defense problems.

Ansys continuously seeks highly motivated candidates who combine a passion for the aerospace and defense market with strong technical skills, proven leadership abilities and a demonstrated track record of working effectively with others.

We provide our interns with an exceptional training program that will benefit participants throughout their technical careers.

As a DME Engineering Intern, you will gain exposure to the fast-paced world of software-product development and directly contribute to multiple engineering teams.

Although we look for employees to work in various offices, all report to their manager based out of our headquarters in Exton, PA.

Currently, Ansys is searching for experienced candidates with a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the aerospace and defense community and who have the technical and interpersonal skills required to do so in our fast-paced work environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing product expertise in select facets of the STK family of products
  • Providing technical assistance, best-practice education and problem-solving support for select applications of AGI products
  • Presenting / documenting analysis results
  • Programming user interfaces, automation scripts and integration code in support of customer applications
  • Operate as part of a dynamic team of engineers, software developers and business professionals to assist customers in performing analyses, solving problems, and integrating and deploying custom solutions
  • Contributing to product training programs

Minimum Education / Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Completion of at least two years of an accredited BS engineering or physics program, and a strong academic performance record (transcripts required) prior to the start of the internship
  • Demonstrated ability in technical problem solving
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Working knowledge or experience with STK is desirable
  • Scripting Experience in MATLAB, Python, or other scripting languages is desirable
  • Capable of self-management and responsibly executing multiple tasks in accordance with priorities and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency
  • Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
