What does the job entail?
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager to create and own processes for quickly ascertaining actual product defects across retail, factory and customer returns.
You will identify any product issues and be able to clearly communicate any defects and product issues that arise. You will maintain social, market and labeling compliance by implementing mapping of suppliers and tracking of material certification, be the expert in testing and quality standards and understanding all labeling requirements.
What You'll Do : Product Assurance
Product Assurance
- Own all product factory and customer returns (to the warehouse / DC)
- Create and own process for quickly ascertaining actual product defects across retail
- Quality Assurance Training to the retail / distribution teams
- Own the product remediation processes (in DC)
- Manage FGT adherence for Enterprise standards
Social Compliance
- Maintain Factory Social Auditing
- Maintain Environmental Program
- Implement Traceable and Transparent Supply Chain
- Work with supply chain on CIP to reduce environmental footprint, lowering carbon score for manufacturing
Market Compliance
- Global market expert on retail compliance in all GEOs
- Be ahead of the markets in understanding new compliance needs across all our GEO’s
Labeling Compliance
- Be the expert in understanding and collating labeling requirements for all sales GEO’s
- Work with the markets to ensure any updates are communicated to the Distribution team and the RO ahead of each season
- Label data creation into the system to create our UPCs
- Shoe Size label creation
What are we looking for?
- 5-7+ years of Product Quality Assurance experience
- 5-7+ years of Compliance experience in the retail industry
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multitask
- Be highly organized and drive change
- Superior written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and able to thrive under pressure
- Team player, with a positive attitude, who is pro-active and owns accountability
- Shares company values and vision and is excited by the challenge of working in a dynamic start-up environment
- BA / BS or equivalent
What do we offer?
In Office : The pay range for this role is : $118,000 - $130,000 and must be performed in our San Francisco, CA corporate office.
Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations.
We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.
