Project Description :
Support the reliability engineering team at Riverside Station. Work as a reliability engineering intern doing tasks that support such as learning powerplant fundamentals, red-lining engineering drawings, analyzing root cause failures, planning, and executing projects.
The individual will get hands-on experience by working alongside other engineers and craft personnel. Get hands-on experience on monitoring systems in developing a robust reliability program.
Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.
This will be a yearlong opportunity with the potential to extend into the summer. The candidate should be able to work part-time during the school year.
If the intern works during the summer, their hours should be full-time.
Minimum Requirements :
Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, studying areas such as electrical (preferred), mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.
Must be able to work full time in the summer.
Must be junior and above.
Must live in commutable distance to Riverside Powerplant.
Preferred Requirements :
Thermodynamics course
Power systems course
Collaboration with different departments
Familiarity with mechanical components
Project management

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is : $22.50 to $30.10 per hour.
