- A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L / D nurse for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and CA License.
Job Requirements
- Must have 2 full years of experience in L / D
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and CA License
- C-section experience required : must have experience with circulating, scrubbing preferred
- Must have 4 years experience or more in L&D
- Must also have experience with high risk deliveries and be familiar with pitocin, mag sulfate, insulin drips, etc.
- Travel experience is preferred
Schedule Information
- Contract length : 13 weeks
- Shifts : 12 hrs 7-7
- Weekend Requirement : Every other
- Call Requirement : Call is required - what is required varies, 30 min response time
- Holidays : one major and one minor
- Floor specific orientation : 3 shifts on unit

- Certs : NRP, BLS, ACLS, Fetal monitoring (advanced) all required

- Floating : L&D floats to antepartum

- RT 24 / 7 : Yes
- Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients : 20 weeks and above, high risk - blood pressure, multiples, diabetes, no prenatal care, Substance abuse, etc.
