Role Description

The R&D Engineering team at Form Energy is responsible for developing innovative hardware solutions across Form's entire R&D portfolio.

From game-changing improvements to Form's core technology, through conceptualization of new products, R&D charts the path forward for Form - and R&D engineers design, build, and test the hardware that makes that possible.

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of next-generation mechanical and electrochemical cell packages.

You'll work closely with electrochemists, material scientists, and other colleagues across R&D to conceptualize, design, build, and test innovative components, cells, and systems.

The ideal team member will have experience working with electrochemical devices or systems (i.e., alkaline batteries, Li-ion, PEM fuel cells, electrolyzers).

What you'll do :

• Design, build, and qualify new electrochemical hardware across a variety of R&D efforts
• Develop functional requirements in close collaboration with members of Form's R&D teams
• Run an iterative design process, confirming that mechanical requirements are verified
• Drive outcomes with external partners via relationship generation and management

What you'll bring :

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering
• BS required in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Electrochemical energy storage or conversion systems design a plus (i.e., alkaline batteries, Li-ion, PEM fuel cells, electrolyzers)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
