About The Position
We currently have a client in NASHVILLE, TN looking for a Travel RNFA - First Assist RN Registered Nurse!
Focus Staff is seeking a traveling First Assist RN to assist and work alongside a surgeon during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
Contract Assignment 13 Weeks (Temporary)
Shift : 3x12 Nights

Requirements :
- Motivated candidates who are looking for career growth
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
- BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
- Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Certification as a First Assist RN, certification in perioperative nursing
- Operating room experience required

Responsibilities :
- Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Provide patient care and support
- Administer medications
- Practice surgical procedures such as controlling bleeding and suturing incisions, draping, providing exposure, and handling tissue
- Prepare all necessary supplies
- Position and prepare the patient on the operating table
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs and heart rate
- Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare
- Perform post-operative assessments and monitoring
- Perform CPR or emergency measures if required
- All other responsibilities as needed
