The Residential Construction Manager is a cornerstone of our company, playing a pivotal role in bringing our customers' dreams to life.

This position is responsible for transforming the carefully crafted vision developed through months of collaboration between our sales, architectural drafting, and selections teams into a beautifully built home.

As the Residential Construction Manager, you will be the key liaison between our customers, subcontractors, building departments, and inspectors.

You'll need to be exceptionally organized, resourceful, and skilled at keeping all parties aligned, on budget, on schedule, and safe, all while surpassing client expectations.

Yes, there will be days that feel like you're herding cats, babysitting monkeys, and putting out fires sometimes all at once.

Essential Functions :

  • Schedule, supervise, and ensure the quality of all work on the job site.
  • Manage and mentor the Assistant Construction Manager, guiding their workload and development.
  • Interpret and follow construction drawings, asking questions as needed for timely and successful project completion.
  • Establish and maintain construction schedules in our project management software.
  • Regularly communicate with homeowners about schedules, specifications, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with office staff and homeowners to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Manage job schedules and coordinate material deliveries.
  • Hold trades accountable for quality and cleanliness after each phase.
  • Ensure job sites are prepared and ready for scheduled trades.
  • Verify that the correct selections are installed.
  • Coordinate building inspections and communicate the results.
  • Perform occasional fill-in work between trades, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience and Education :

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading residential construction projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Proficient user of computer and smartphone some experience with Microsoft Office and learning new software for job and administrative tasks
