Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities.

About the position :
Serves as IPM’s subject matter expert (SME) on quality transformation for physician practices. Works in close collaboration with the (CMO) Chief Medical Officer of IPM and in coordination with Market Directors, Regional Directors, COO, and Market Physician Leaders to improve quality-based clinical best practices, including clinical support competencies, and patient outcomes within the ambulatory space.
Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and implementation of Quality Management policies, MIPS capture / submission and practice guidelines.
Works in coordination with Risk Manager / Compliance Officer to disseminate and monitor adherence to quality practices, including regulatory compliance, patient safety, risk management, and patient experience.
Provides leadership, consultation, and strategic planning for quality and patient safety programs. Will manage other key market-based quality personnel in driving quality results.
Utilizes data, research and evidence to drive decisions and fosters innovative approaches to ongoing quality / performance improvement and organizational change across inter-professional teams.
Serves as a key central resource to operational leaders for development and implementation of efficient, effective, timely, patient-centered strategies in the ambulatory space.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops policies and processes for dissemination and oversight of quality program in the physician practices.
- Develops clinical staff competencies and oversees compliance
- Supports development and monitoring of quality metrics for IPM contracted providers
- Oversees patient safety, patient experience and education in the clinic setting
- Works with IPM risk / compliance manager to support risk mitigation strategies in the ambulatory space
- Works in close collaboration with IS / IT in quality related data acquisition efforts including MIPS submission
- Oversee key market-based quality personnel in the implementation of IPM quality initiatives
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience :
- 8+ years of experience in Clinical Quality / Practice Operations or healthcare organization management.
- Registered Nurse Licensure, and a Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or related field; Master’s preferred
- Self-motivated professional enthusiastic leader with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Extensive experience working with healthcare quality metrics, population health initiatives, value-based care contract along with providers and clinical staff
- Must be an effective consensus builder
- Possesses knowledge of clinical workflow and operations in outpatient settings
- Works successfully in a matrix management model
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with a diversity of personalities. Must be approachable, show respect for others and be able to present data with effective communication and presentation skills
