What You'll Do :
We are looking for a Transportation Manager to join our team. You will understand the importance of maintaining and enhancing the logistics department through freight data analytics, process improvement and project management.
You will possess a strong knowledge of the modes of transportation and current market costs / capacity. This role will be heavily focused on data analytics and process improvement to improve customer satisfaction and reduce freight costs.
How You'll Help Us Win :
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
- Lead continuous improvement projects related to transportation processes and retail compliance
- Drive metrics, reports, process documentation, and training (SOP) documents
- Hold Quarterly Business Reviews with transportation partners
- Supervise overall work of transportation team through metrics and personal reviews
- Analyze financial impacts of proposed logistics changes. (routing, shipping modes, volume, carriers, etc.)
- Direct inbound / outbound logistics operations
- Ensure carrier compliance within company metrics / KPIs (transit times, damages, etc.)
- Resolve and root cause problems concerning transportation, imports or exports, or customer issues
- Ensure accurate billing and invoice issues are resolved
- Meet vendor and retail transportation requirements
What Youll Need to Succeed :
- Bachelors Degree required
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or similar role
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory position
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent Data analytics and process improvement experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
