Overview
United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Orthopedics to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY.
The Orthopedic unit is a steady, collaborative environment. Dealing with a range of orthopedic surgeries, there’s always something new coming in!
Qualifications
Schedule :
8 hour shifts; Monday Friday, no weekends or holidays
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Admit and prep patients for orthopedic procedures
- Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
- Administering medications and providing pain management
- Discharging patients post procedure
Qualifications :
- A valid RN license
- Bedside nursing experience
- ACLS preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Education / Experience
Minimum Required :
A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Preferred :
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
License / Certification
Minimum Required :
Current NYS RN License
Preferred :
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
- Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
