A PRN Physical Therapist consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of complex patients. In doing so, they contribute independently to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care service delivery across the continuum of care.
A Physical therapist at this level possesses broad clinical knowledge and can provide care for various patient populations throughout the health system.
They are able to complete administrative and clinical projects as assigned by supervisory staff but mainly focus on patient care.
They help negotiate the health care system to maximize the delivery of quality care and to minimize cost of patient care service.
These physical therapists also seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice across the spectrum of care in the health system.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
- Performs physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech language pathology evaluations according to professional standards and departmental policy.
- Demonstrates knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech language pathology intervention.
- Participates in professional growth activities.
- May actively participate in quality improvement and program development.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range : $55.00 - $55.00 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
For Physical Therapy :
Education : Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
Experience : 1 year relevant experience
Licensure : Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
For Occupational Therapy :
Education : Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience : 1 year relevant experience
Licensure : Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
For Speech Language Pathology :
Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Experience : 1 year of relevant experience
Certifications : Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Virginia. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending / stooping / traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift / push / pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood / body fluids and infectious disease.
