Job Summary : JOB SUMMARY

JOB SUMMARY

Performs routine respiratory care procedures in the acute care, critical care and outpatient environment; perform respiratory care assessments and diagnostic testing procedures associated with respiratory care under occasional guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiates and maintains mechanical ventilation.
  • Provides education for students in affiliated clinical training programs as well as patients and families.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Respiratory Therapeutic Procedures (Fundamental Awareness) : Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with respiratory therapeutic procedures.
  • Ventilator Management (Fundamental Awareness) : -Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience working with respiratory patient assessment and evaluations.
  • Laboratory Testing & Analysis (Fundamental Awareness) : Possesses a fundamental knowledge of at least one laboratory test.

Has experience in at least one facet of the subject.
