About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Endoscopy Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Days, 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40.
00 Experience : 1 year of experience License : Current RN License issued by the relevant State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association- ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have : Graduate from an accredited school of nursing- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures- Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees- Good verbal and written communication skills Job Description : Provide nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments;
note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.- Administer medication as prescribed.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver patient care competently.- Interact with family and patient to share care plans during the hospital stay and at the time of discharge.
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures.- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff.- Perform other duties as assigned.
