The Sales Manager will be tasked with driving account management and business development opportunities with select OEM customers.

This Sales Manager will manage day-to-day commercial activities for current programs while also pursuing future new business wins.

The Sales Manager will manage a team of 1-2 program managers. Hybrid schedule - 3 days in the local office and 2 days working from home.

Our client for the Sales Manager opportunity is a leading manufacturer and supplier in the automotive market, specializing in manufacturing solutions that serve OEM customers globally.

This client has solutions for internal combustion and electric vehicles and continues to drive innovation.

Description

  • Increase market share and develop new business opportunities with global automotive OEM accounts.
  • Build strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for key targets and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to grow market share and diverse product portfolio.
  • Achieve and exceed budget sales and gross margin for your OEM customers.
  • Ensure all reports, plans, forecasts, and administrative requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner both personally and for the team.
  • Meet all reporting deadlines as set by senior management.
  • Identify new and profitable opportunities with existing customers and leverage these to increase profitable sales with them.
  • Provide regular and relevant feedback on market conditions, competitor activities, and progress towards business objectives.
  • Analyze the current market position, i.e., the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Working with the Marketing team, develop marketing material and strategies and justify new project opportunities to support the sales effort.
  • Participate in APQP meetings and follow up on commercial and customer-related issues.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in a change-oriented culture.

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or related. Engineering or Technical degree preferred, but not required.
  • 5 years of automotive sales experience calling OEMs - Ford, GM, Stellantis preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments.
  • Must have experience with business development, program launches, and account management.
  • Prior experience working in a global matrix organization.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a strong track record of developing new business.
  • Analytical and organizational skills, high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Experience working in a global organization preferred.

Job Offer

Competitive base salary $140,000 - $170,000, bonus 25%, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays, highly visible role globally and in North America.

Hybrid role - work from home 2 days a week.
