Albers Management is currently recruiting a Mechanical Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of a $ 5 Billion greenfield EV plant in Blythewood (Columbia), South Carolina.
Relocation or Per Diem is available for this position.
As the project M-SPM, you will have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders to support capturing their requirements, coordinate with the project Engineer of Record (EOR) to influence mechanical infrastructure design and oversee the Construction Management team and Mechanical Contractors through the delivery of the project ensuring the projects mechanical systems meet the owner's requirements while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule.
In this role, you will play a critical role in defining the long-term mechanical infrastructure plan for this new greenfield plant.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and contractually administrate multiple mechanical projects with full responsibility for developing the schedule, cost and change management, safety, communications, procurement, risk management and quality of the multiple mechanical projects
- Serve as the lead project coordinator on all mechanical installations for main buildings (Press-Shop, Body-Shop, Paint-Shop, Assembly-Shop, Central Building etc.
auxiliary buildings (guard house, tank farm, fire station, recycling center, truck control center, utility building, substation etc.
and the piping between facilities.
- Facilitate resolutions to complex construction projects related issues, disputes, and disagreements for mechanical scope to be built by the government, including tracking of incentives and maintaining governmental relations
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
- Create, review, and analyze regular reports on project construction budget, schedule and quality performance to identify the best course of action throughout the project plan
- Cross-functionally partner and collaborate with stakeholders
Location & Travel Expectations : The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events.
The role will be based out of the project site location in greater Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Here’s what else you’ll bring :
- 8+ years of professional experience in plant construction / factory planning
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in mechanical engineering, building engineering or related fields
- Knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus
- Contribute extensive knowledge of mechanical installations, design and construction, codes and standards for industrial construction including the review of building specifications and details
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in working in a multicultural enviroment
