About The Position
- Job Title : Float Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Position Job Duration : 13 weeks with a possibility of extension Shift : Flexible shifts;
- willing to float between campuses Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required License : Compact Nursing License required (recent verification must be on profile) Certifications : BLS, ACLS, & NIHSS required Must-Have : Degree accreditation must be on profile;
flexibility in floating; demographic information loaded in the profile Job Description : Care for adult and geriatric populations in a PCU setting.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4-6 : 1 depending on patient mix.- Utilize Epic EMR system for electronic medical records.- Wear assigned scrubs colors.
- Display flexibility by floating to different campuses as needed.- Function as part of the core staff, fostering a welcoming culture for travelers.
- Ensure all required documentation is submitted by the deadline, with no exceptions for pending documents.- Comply with a radius rule of 50 miles from permanent address for floating.
- Include all time-off or scheduling requests at the time of submission as adjustments post-submission are not permitted.
This position emphasizes the importance of integrating seamlessly with existing staff and contributing to a positive workplace atmosphere.
