Product Manager III

Working within the Partner Product global product team, you will be responsible for helping to define the future of Expedia Group’s lodging platform.

You will inform product strategy based on market trends, threats, and opportunities. You will own a product roadmap supported by multiple engineering teams across the globe.

You will work with product counterparts, data scientists, analysts, and engineers to define, test, and deliver concrete product features to execute on Expedia’s lodging product strategy.

Lodging is Expedia Group’s largest line of business.

In this role, you will drive the strategy and vision to evolve the pricing platform solutions that we build to power our Marketplace and service travelers globally.

You will leverage your understanding of new technologies such as machine learning, streaming and big data to create amazing products that solve very concrete user problems.

Working closely with counterparts in Product, Data Science, Engineering, Partner Services, User Experience and Strategy, you will ensure that the team is delivering with high standards.

What You’ll Do :

Inform Expedia’s global lodging data science pricing strategy based on industry trends, opportunity, and threat analysis

Collaborate across product groups (pricing and other supply platform teams and brands), working with stakeholders to collaboratively develop feature definitions

Define, track and manage the product line strategy, backlog, and roadmap

Set, track, analyze and communicate the business goals for the pricing product, with a focus on integrating data science into pricing, providing a single point of contact between technology and stakeholders

Exhibit a sense of ownership for the success of the pricing product

Coordinate with stakeholders across Expedia Group to drive integration of strategic initiatives and help to resolve resource and scheduling conflicts on cross-functional teams

Cultivate effective relationships with key internal business teams, with a special focus on building bridges within the diverse business groups that run Expedia's brand organizations (Hotels.

com, Expedia.com, Expedia Partner Services), corporate functions (Finance, Tax, Legal), and lodging partner relationships and Data Science

Work closely with technical leaders and architects to understand how to develop innovative, sustaining and disruptive new capabilities

Collaborate with the development teams as the voice of the customer and lodging partner. Work closely with business and technology teams to prioritize and schedule enhancements and fixes to existing functionality

Keep tabs on emerging trends in the technology and lodging industries and drive best practices in product environment

Who You Are :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; or Equivalent related professional experience

5+ years’ experience defining product features in response to overall business strategy and delivering those features to market

5+ years’ experience decomposing, communicating, and prioritizing business requirements for technical teams in a role such as Product Manager or Business Analyst

Basic high-level understanding of software engineering practices is a requirement (caching, release cycle, integration)

Self-starter with demonstrated strengths managing products in complex, multi-project delivery environments

Ability to evangelize and articulate technical products to both technical and non-technical audiences

Proven skills at cultivating strong working relationships, and driving collaboration across multiple business and technical teams

Proven influencing skills : the ability to manage expectations of business partners while maintaining productive relationships

Proven knowledge of e-commerce standards and best practices (experience with pricing is a plus)

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.

00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
