Description
PYA is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its high-performing accounting and advisory services firm with a dynamic culture and strong national reputation.
The Business Development Manager will contribute to the growth and development of PYA’s professional services including audit and assurance, tax, accounting, and management consulting, including litigation support.
These services are routinely provided to clients operating in a variety of industries including healthcare, banking, real estate, and other for-profit and non-profit organizations.
The ideal candidate will initially focus on business development efforts in the PYA office location in which the candidate resides;
however, this professional will also have the opportunity to become a key contributor to growing relationships with prospective and current clients throughout the nation.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the ideal candidate will work with PYA executives and the Business Development team to drive awareness and build relationships in designated markets and pursue potential business leads
- Collaborating with PYA professionals and practice groups to develop a customized and measurable approach to growing and retaining clients
- Assisting PYA service line leaders with the execution of their business development plans
- Connecting firm prospects / clients with PYA professionals to enhance total organizational value
- Identifying and researching prospective clients and new business opportunities from existing clients or new contacts
- Seeking and establishing partnerships with other professionals such as attorneys, commercial bankers, investment bankers, and various investor groups
- Consistently seeking new knowledge about the firm and effectively implementing such knowledge in one’s daily function
- Partnering with PYA management / staff in proposal development and guiding the sales process to enhance the success ratio for each identified opportunity
- Evaluating cross-marketing opportunities of existing PYA (+ Affiliates’) clients
Qualifications
- 3 years of business and / or relationship development experience required
- Experience working for a professional services firm is preferred
- Healthcare, banking, or real estate industries experience is a plus, including payroll services
- Proficiency in lead generation via social media, referrals and networking, proposal development, and other proven lead generation methods
- Personal network across the Tampa, Charlotte or Atlanta community is preferred
- Executive presence with an ability to interact with senior leadership
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional client service attitude and demeanor
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset
- Some travel is required, including event attendance and active participation in industry associations or other organizations relevant to PYA’s target audience
