Job Title : School-Based Registered Nurse (RN)
Location : Kent, WA Area
School Year : 2024-2025
Employment Type : Full-Time (37.5-Hours / Week), Onsite
Pay Scale : $40-47 / hour
Caseloads : Preschool / Elementary School, Itinerant
Responsibilities :
- Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents / guardians and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
- Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
- Provide acmodations for students with disabilities as needed per school's requirements
- Assist students with transportation to and from school as needed
Qualifications :
- Valid RN license in WA
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited university
- Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting required).
- Experience with disability acmodations (i.e. G-tube, trach, and seizure monitoringacmodations) preferred
- Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of mon childhood illnesses and injuries.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be fortable with bus riding
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
