Registered Nurse OB / GYN
Reporting to the Site Administrator / Nurse Manager / Senior Leadership, Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and critical success factors of Women's Health OBGYN.
- Committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and is responsible for the coordination, implementation and delivery of care to Women's Health OBGYN patient population
- Participate in performance improvement / research activities, maintains professional practice standards, clinical expertise, and demonstrates leadership skills
- Responsible for the coordination of ancillary clinical support associates (LPN / PCT)
- Ensure TJC sweeps are performed routinely and will oversee HLD / Sterilization completion by PCT / LPN associates
- Systematically assesses the health care of patients / families and responses to care rendered
- Demonstrates critical thinking skills to problem solve and initiate clinical decision making
- Develops, coordinates and provides direct care for specific patient assignment reflective of current and changing status of the patient
Qualifications :
- New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration of valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN
- BSN Degree
- Additional education required by specialty areas
- Effective English communication skills, both written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use basis data entry and retrieval system
- A minimum 3-5 years experience in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health
