The Encompass Group has partnered with a full-service, multi-disciplinary firm in Metairi to find a Mechanical Enginee r with a focus on HVAC projects to join the team. This role will support the design, analysis, and execution of HVAC systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop HVAC systems, including load calculations, ductwork, piping, and equipment selection.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure design intent is met.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and system evaluations to ensure compliance with project standards and codes.
  • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through commissioning.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 4+ years of HVAC design or project engineering experience
  • PE or EIT required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software (e.g., Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP).
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and energy efficiency requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
