JobDescription :

• Serveas a handson technical project manager with development staff andbusinessgroups.
• Coordinateand communicate with ITD management and staff to coordinate worktasks andresourcing.
• Communicatetimelines and expectations to technical and businessstaff.
• Collaboratewith vendors consultants and contractors in the execution ofprojects including contract management and working with theprocurementoffice(s).
• Adhereto VDOT and VITA project management practices and governancerequirements; coordinate with VDOT and VITA Project ManagementOffices.
• Maintainproject budget plans tasks schedules risks and status anddisseminate information to team members and customers as defined inthe communicationsplan.
• Ensuredocumentation of requirements and use cases facilitate designworkshops for assignedprojects.
• Ensuredefinition of test objectives designed test plans and test casesfor assignedprojects.
• Providethe management of project milestones and deliverables for ontimeand onbudgetdelivery.
• Definemeasure and clearly communicate progress withmetrics.
• Supportsystem and application trainingefforts.
• Abilityto interact effectively with customers and project teammembers.
• Abilityto analyze and translate requirements into systemspecifications.
• Knowledgeof project management tools methods andpractices.
• Abilityto analyze design develop troubleshoot and implement technologysolutions.
• Experiencein Microsoft Projectsoftware.
• Experiencein the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and MicrosoftSharePoint
• Knowledgeof data modeling interface management applications andtools.
• Comprehensiveknowledge of project managementmethodologies.
• ActiveProject Management Professional (PMP) or VITA certified ProjectManagementcertification
• Abilityto communicate effectively orally and inwriting.
• Experiencein both Agile and Waterfall projectmanagement.
• Abilityto program and create custom reports using IT application standardtools.
• Acombination of training experience or education in Computer ScienceInformation Systems Engineering Business Administration or relatedfielddesired.
• Progressivelyresponsible experience with system analysis design developmenttesting andtroubleshooting.

Requiredskills :

• CurrentProject Management Professional (PMP) from the Project ManagementInstitute(PMI)
• Candidatemust have a minimum of 15 years experience managing largeprojects
• Solidunderstanding of software development life cycle models as well asexpert knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project managementprinciples.
• Balancebusiness / technical background with sufficient level of technicalbackground to provide highly credible leadership to technologyteams.
