Director Of Human Resources

The Hilton Madison Monona Terrace is seeking a strong Director of Human Resources. This professional will support the human capital needs of our vibrant hotel. As the Director of Human Resources, you will report to the Hotel's General Manager and directly provide the Human Resource services for the team of approximately 100 associates. As a key member of the Executive Committee, your insights and leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the hotel's strategic vision.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee all areas of Human Resources administration.
  • Lead labor relationships with one (1) union.
  • Provide guidance on associate relations issues.
  • Recommend, evaluate and support Hilton and Marcus Hotels' brand training and development programs.
  • Facilitate annual goal setting, performance reviews, salary increases, and bonus payouts.
  • Develop annual budgets for salaried labor and HR operating expenses.
  • Act as a member of the Executive Committee.
  • Serve as a strategic partner who helps develop high potential leaders.
  • Champion associate recognition and service excellence programs.
  • Ensure communication of and compliance with all policies, standards and practices.
  • Provide Human Resources generalist oversight related to compensation practices, benefit plans and administration.

What should you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 10 plus years of total HR experience.
  • 5 years or more of proven HR leadership experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft (HRIS) and / or Taleo Enterprise (ATS) helpful.
  • Past Hilton brand experience would be ideal.
  • Previous experience in union settings beneficial.
